I am Erin V. Alexander Keefer.
That's a mouth-full isn't it?! Well what if I were to tell you that when asked my full name I say Erin Victoria Elizabeth Alexander Keefer? Crazy right? I have a slight obsession with my name.
My first suite.
I created my first wedding invitation suite for a friend way back in 2006 and from the moment I saw them printed I fell completely in love with the craft.
I continued to design invitations for family and friends until I realized I was way too in love with the art of it all to stay at my boring newspaper job.
What's with the logo?
I have to admit, I've tried to redesign it a million times, but it's just so me that I can't let it go. I started drawing the flower back in high school and still find myself absent-mindedly doodling it every day. It's a part of me, it's a part of my artistic signature and I suspect it always will be.
If I'm not in the office?
You'll find me on the couch watching a good show (or a guilty pleasure) or out and about Baltimore City with my kickball team.
Bob Keefer, my biggest helper.
I'm convinced my husband is one of the best men on earth. He's an awesome cheerleader, is always willing to lend a helping hand, and allows me to make a disaster of our house when I work on my large projects. While he isn't the most creative, though he tries, a lot of his thoughts tend to spark workable ideas that can lead to amazing products.
Stroz, my SEO God.
Though I went to art school, marketing wasn't really taught, and web is of no interest to me.
Thankfully I have Stroz. He reads my copy, suggests changes to make sure it's read by the Google or something. Teaches me about ad words and analytics, man there are a lot of components to the web!
He also sends me the best jokes; What did the ear hear? Only the nose knows! And is great for milkshake runs and Friday lunches.
Ferdinand Ulysses, my smallest helper.
"Ferd Turd" is by my side; tripping me, batting at pens, rubbing against my screen and sleeping half way on my mouse pad, but I wouldn't have it any other way. He helps to keep me sane when I'm having a hard day, while also driving me insane.
Fun fact! He can be found on Instagram by searching for #FerdTurd.
K&G, always teaching.
My Uncle George first sparked my love of art and design when he turned me into a television way back when I was a toddler. In fact, it was an essay about that adventure which helped to get me into art school!
Auntie M is my editor/teacher, she looks over my designs when I'm unsure of the grammar and text, and sends me tests via email on the use of commas, semi-colons and triple colons too I think? I'm improving ... lol
