Way back in high school, I knew a pretty fabulous girl, and thanks to Facebook I still know her. When Jennifer got married last year I helped her out with programs and menus and now she's got a little one on the way! I was so excited when she contacted me to design her shower invites!
I couldn't help but think back to her mention of how much she loved Harry Potter and realized that I needed to design her some HP quotes, STAT! But then I got married and then I got busy and now, a month later, I've mailed them out.
I am so excited for how they came out that I just had to feature them! And on top of my excitement, I've got more announcements!
First | Twelve Days of #EtsyGifts | Nov 18-29, 2014
My Harry Potter quotes are being featured in my Twelve Days of #EtsyGifts, each day I am recommending a different gift from my shop and offering it at a discounted price. So, for today only, my HP prints are the featured present! Be sure to check out my Etsy site and get yours before the sale ends. They make the perfect gift for any Hogwarts fan, just purchase, I'll send them, you can stick them in a frame and wrap them up. Really can't get much simpler! For a direct link to the quotes click here.
Second | I've got Freebies!
Jennifer had mentioned in a Facebook post how she was hoping to receive a Hogwarts letter for the little one and I realized I needed to create a letter from the school to accompany the prints.
Since it's the Twelve Days of #EtsyGifts I'm giving the acceptance letter and envelope files as a little something extra. Just click the links to download, update the information, print and cut. The letter folds to 4 x 6 and is sized for a 6.5 x 4.75 envelope. I got extra creative, because they don't lick envelopes in the wizard world, and used a lighter to melt a red crayon onto the back of the envelope and then pressed a button into it to make it like a wax seal.
I hope you all love what I've created, I think they turned out super cute. And enjoy the free files, they will make the perfect addition to your gift!
Though I've designed holiday photo cards for family the past couple of years, I've never actually sold them. Thanks to Ashton Kelley Photography, that's all changing!
Check them out below and at my Etsy site at Etsy.com/EAlexDesigns. All of my holiday photo cards are 5x7" and double-sided, after you approve your cards I'll send you high resolution files for you to have printed wherever you choose!
Merry Christmas Custom Type: Two background options available, colors can be changed on first
Snowstorm: With this chilly weather it's better to be together (wow am I corny or what?!?)
Love, Joy & Laughter: Nothing's better than a family that has fun together
Happy Holidays Custom Text: Simple but says it all
Holly Illustration: Ribbon, tag and background colors can be modified
Our Most Perfect Gift: Just have a baby? Combine your holiday card and birth announcement
Initial Cap, Stripes: Such a cute simple card (greeting and colors can be modified)
Merry Christmas Chalkboard: For those who prefer to showcase only one photo
Merry & Married: For those who just got married (like me!)
Golden Dots Happy New Year: I'm in love with gold lately :)
So that's what I've got so far. I'll add more as they become available in my shop. Remember to get your order in early so you have plenty of time to print and mail them out! And if you're looking for something totally unique send me a message at EAlexDesigns@Gmail.com and we can work together to make this years holiday card the best ever!
Also, as a little extra announcement that I'll go into more detail on later, I'm going to be participating in the #EtsyGifts holiday marketing campaign. I'll be kicking it off on Tuesday, November 18 and running it through Small Business Saturday on November 26. Each day I will feature a gift idea from my shop at a discounted price for my personal campaign that I will be calling Twelve Days of Etsy Gifts! Make sure to like me on Facebook, and follow me on Twitter and Instagram so you don't miss out on any of the deals!
Blogging isn't a constant thing for me, but hopefully someone will get some use out of the things I say, no matter how far in between.
